Hi! I’m Chloe, founder of The Pampas Collection which is based in a beautiful part of the South West of England – Devon.
The story behind The Pampas Collection begins with nothing more than a small idea started during the height of the first lockdown in 2020.
I’m sure each of you can relate when it comes to home décor, the excitement of finding all the things you love online, your basket soon enough becomes chokka and you’ve got items in there that you don’t really need, but feel the need to have anyway; I think we’re all guilty of this!
Months before completing on my first house, I was spending hours scrolling through my favourite brands and it was clear to see the demand for pampas and dried flowers was absolutely crazy. Being a fan of all things neutral it wasn’t long before I started visualising a luxury dried flower business of my own. Pinterest was my best friend and played a massive part in bringing my vision to life. Shortly after sourcing suppliers and getting sample after sample, I knew that a brand is nothing without a recognisable logo; which meant me downloading the trusty Canva, and soon enough I had created my own DIY logo! Fast forward a couple of weeks and me maxing out my very small credit card - I was off.
My next hurdle was getting a selection of photos on my iPhone to capture the beginning of the collection to put onto Instagram, as this was my only platform for selling my products. Getting a clean photo with good lighting wasn’t always the easiest, but this is vital! Instagram can be overwhelming but it’s also a brilliant platform for online businesses. If you put in the work and remain consistent, you will reap the rewards.
Soon enough the message requests turned into orders and before I knew it, the business had taken off and the resignation letter had been handed into a company that I had been working for, for 5 years.
